New Market -- After lying for 5 months an invalid with a broken hip, James DALE, 82, died Saturday night at midnight at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lewis EMMERT, a mile west of here. His condition had been serious for the past 6 weeks and little hope had been entertained for his recovery during that time because of his advanced age. Many friends remain in this neighborhood to mourn the death of Mr. Dale who was well known and liked. He had lived here for a number of years. He is survived by the one daughter, Mrs. Emmert and a son, besides several grandchildren and greats. Funeral services are to be held from the Mt. Zion church north of New Ross at 11 this morning with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. - kbz
